﴿وَلَا تَجۡعَلۡ يَدَكَ مَغۡلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبۡسُطۡهَا كُلَّ ٱلۡبَسۡطِ فَتَقۡعُدَ مَلُومٗا مَّحۡسُورًا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 29]
﴿ولا تجعل يدك مغلولة إلى عنقك ولا تبسطها كل البسط فتقعد ملوما﴾ [الإسرَاء: 29]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And do not make your hand to be shackled to your neck nor stretch it forth to the utmost (limit) of its stretching forth, lest you should (afterwards) sit down blamed, stripped off |
| Mohammad Shafi And do not make your hand tied to your neck nor extend it to its utmost limit, lest you should be left blamed and impoverished |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And let not thy hand be chained to thy neck nor open it with a complete opening, lest thou sit down rebuked, denuded |
