Quran with British translation - Surah Maryam ayat 48 - مَريَم - Page - Juz 16
﴿وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ وَمَا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّي شَقِيّٗا ﴾
[مَريَم: 48]
﴿وأعتزلكم وما تدعون من دون الله وأدعو ربي عسى ألا أكون بدعاء﴾ [مَريَم: 48]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And I will withdraw from you and what you call on besides Allah, and I will call upon my Lord; may be I shall not remain unblessed in calling upon my Lord |
Mohammad Shafi And I will go away from you and what you pray to besides Allah, and I will pray to my Lord; may be my prayer to my Lord shall not remain unanswered |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall I shall withdraw from you and that unto which ye pray beside Allah, and I shall pray unto my Lord. It may be that, in prayer unto my Lord, I shall not be unblest |
Mufti Taqi Usmani And I go away from you and what you invoke besides Allah. And I shall invoke my Lord. Hopefully I shall not be a looser by invoking my Lord.” |
Muhammad Asad But I shall withdraw from you all and from whatever you invoke instead of God, and shall invoke my Sustainer [alone]: it may well be that my prayer [for thee] will not remain unanswered by my Sustainer |
