﴿مَّا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَلَا ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّنۡ خَيۡرٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَخۡتَصُّ بِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 105]
﴿ما يود الذين كفروا من أهل الكتاب ولا المشركين أن ينـزل عليكم﴾ [البَقَرَة: 105]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book do not like, nor do the polytheists, that the good should be sent down to you from your Lord, and Allah chooses especially whom He pleases for His mercy, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace |
| Mohammad Shafi Neither do those who suppress the Truth among the people of the Book, nor do the polytheists wish for any good to come down upon youfrom your Lord. And Allah graces whomsoever He wishes with His Favours. And Allah is the Benefactor, Supreme |

And Allah appropriates His mercy to whomever He decides; and Allah is The Owner of the magnificent Grace |
