﴿ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتۡهُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 156]
﴿الذين إذا أصابتهم مصيبة قالوا إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 156]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return |
Mohammad Shafi Those who, when any adversity confronts them, say, "We do indeed belong to Allah; and indeed are we to return to Him |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning |
Mufti Taqi Usmani who, when a suffering visits them, say: “We certainly belong to Allah, and to Him we are bound to return.” |
Muhammad Asad who, when calamity befalls them, say, "Verily, unto God do we belong and, verily, unto Him we shall return |
