﴿مَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 17]
﴿مثلهم كمثل الذي استوقد نارا فلما أضاءت ما حوله ذهب الله بنورهم﴾ [البَقَرَة: 17]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Their parable is like the parable of one who kindled a fire, but when it had illumined all around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in utter darkness-- they do not see |
