Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 200 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 2
﴿فَإِذَا قَضَيۡتُم مَّنَٰسِكَكُمۡ فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَذِكۡرِكُمۡ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ أَوۡ أَشَدَّ ذِكۡرٗاۗ فَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَا لَهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِنۡ خَلَٰقٖ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 200]
﴿فإذا قضيتم مناسككم فاذكروا الله كذكركم آباءكم أو أشد ذكرا فمن الناس﴾ [البَقَرَة: 200]
Mohammad Habib Shakir So when you have performed your devotions, then laud Allah as you lauded your fathers, rather a greater lauding. But there are some people who say, Our Lord! give us in the world, and they shall have no resting place |
Mohammad Shafi And when you complete your rituals, do remember Allah just as — or even better than how — you would remember your fathers. There are then those among mankind who say, "Our Lord! Give us in this world." And they shall have no share of happiness in the Hereafter |
