﴿۞ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَهُمۡ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحۡيَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 243]
﴿ألم تر إلى الذين خرجوا من ديارهم وهم ألوف حذر الموت فقال﴾ [البَقَرَة: 243]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Have you not considered those who went forth from their homes, for fear of death, and they were thousands, then Allah said to them, Die; again He gave them life; most surely Allah is Gracious to people, but most people are not grateful |
Mohammad Shafi Haven't you observed those who left their homes, in their thousands, fearing death? Allah then told them, "Die". He then brought them back to life. Indeed, Allah showers favours after favours on mankind, but most mankind fail to be grateful |
