Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 251 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 2
﴿فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُۥدُ جَالُوتَ وَءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُۥ مِمَّا يَشَآءُۗ وَلَوۡلَا دَفۡعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضٖ لَّفَسَدَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

﴿فهزموهم بإذن الله وقتل داود جالوت وآتاه الله الملك والحكمة وعلمه مما﴾ [البَقَرَة: 251]
Mohammad Habib Shakir So they put them to flight by Allah's permission. And Dawood slew Jalut, and Allah gave him kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of what He pleased. And were it not for Allah's repelling some men with others, the earth would certainly be in a state of disorder; but Allah is Gracious to the creatures |
Mohammad Shafi They then defeated them (Jaaloot and his army) by Allah's Will. And David slew Jaaloot and Allah gave him the dominion and the acumen to rule and taught him what He wished to teach him. And had Allah not subjugated some people through others, the earth would certainly have been corrupted.hBut Allah is beneficent to the worlds |
