﴿وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَمۡلَيۡتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٞ ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ ﴾
[الحج: 48]
﴿وكأين من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها وإلي المصير﴾ [الحج: 48]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And how many a town to which I gave respite while it was unjust, then I overtook it, and to Me is the return |
| Mohammad Shafi And how many an unjust town/village had I been indulgent to and patient with! And then I seized it!! And to Me is the final destination |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And how many a township did I suffer long though it was sinful! Then I grasped it. Unto Me is the return |
