﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 76]
﴿ولقد أخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون﴾ [المؤمنُون: 76]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves |
| Mohammad Shafi And We did certainly punish them, but they did not become humble towards their Lord, nor do they submit |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray |
