﴿ٱلزَّانِي لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوۡ مُشۡرِكَةٗ وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوۡ مُشۡرِكٞۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[النور: 3]
﴿الزاني لا ينكح إلا زانية أو مشركة والزانية لا ينكحها إلا زان﴾ [النور: 3]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir The fornicator shall not marry any but a fornicatress or idolatress, and (as for) the fornicatress, none shall marry her but a fornicator or an idolater; and it is forbidden to the believers |
| Mohammad Shafi The fornicator/adulterer shall not marry any but a fornicatress/adulteress or a female polytheist; and the fornicatress/adulteress shall be married to none but a fornicator/adulterer or a male polytheist. And all these stand forbidden to the believers |
