Quran with British translation - Surah Al-‘Ankabut ayat 8 - العَنكبُوت - Page - Juz 20
﴿وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ حُسۡنٗاۖ وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشۡرِكَ بِي مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَآۚ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 8]
﴿ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حسنا وإن جاهداك لتشرك بي ما ليس لك به﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 8]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents, and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did |
Mohammad Shafi And We have instructed mankind to be good to one's own parents. And if the two (parents) try to make you worship besides Me anyone that you have no knowledge of, obey them not! To Me is your return, and then I shall tell you what you have been doing |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do |

To Me will be your return, then I will (fully) inform you of whatever you were doing |
