Quran with British translation - Surah Saba’ ayat 41 - سَبإ - Page - Juz 22
﴿قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
[سَبإ: 41]
﴿قالوا سبحانك أنت ولينا من دونهم بل كانوا يعبدون الجن أكثرهم بهم﴾ [سَبإ: 41]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them |
| Mohammad Shafi They [the angels] will say, "Glory to You! You are our Wali — not they! Nay, they worshipped the jinn; in them, most of them believed |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall They will say: Be Thou Glorified. Thou (alone) art our Guardian, not them! Nay, but they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani They will say, “Pure are You! You are our mentor, not these. Rather, they used to worship the Jinns. Most of these believed in them.” |
| Muhammad Asad They will answer: “Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! Thou [alone] art close unto us, not they! Nay, [when they thought that they were worshipping us,] they were but [blindly] worshipping forces concealed from their senses; most of them believed in them.” |
