﴿إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا فِيٓ أَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡ أَغۡلَٰلٗا فَهِيَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَذۡقَانِ فَهُم مُّقۡمَحُونَ ﴾
[يسٓ: 8]
﴿إنا جعلنا في أعناقهم أغلالا فهي إلى الأذقان فهم مقمحون﴾ [يسٓ: 8]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft |
| Mohammad Shafi We have indeed placed on their necks chains reaching up to the chins, so that they have their heads held up |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked |
