﴿وَءَاتُواْ ٱلنِّسَآءَ صَدُقَٰتِهِنَّ نِحۡلَةٗۚ فَإِن طِبۡنَ لَكُمۡ عَن شَيۡءٖ مِّنۡهُ نَفۡسٗا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيٓـٔٗا مَّرِيٓـٔٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 4]
﴿وآتوا النساء صدقاتهن نحلة فإن طبن لكم عن شيء منه نفسا فكلوه﴾ [النِّسَاء: 4]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And give women their dowries as a free gift, but if they of themselves be pleased to give up to you a portion of it, then eat it with enjoyment and with wholesome result |
Mohammad Shafi And give the women their dues as free gifts. And if they themselves give up a portion of it for you, then accept and use it with a wholesome attitude |
