﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِوَكِيلٖ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 6]
﴿والذين اتخذوا من دونه أولياء الله حفيظ عليهم وما أنت عليهم بوكيل﴾ [الشُّوري: 6]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, Allah watches over them, and you have not charge over them |
| Mohammad Shafi And those that take awliya other than Allah, He is watching them; and you (Prophet) are not a manager/dispenser of their affairs |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And as for those who choose protecting friends beside Him, Allah is Warden over them, and thou art in no wise a guardian over them |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani And those who have adopted patrons instead of Him, Allah is on watch against them, and you are not responsible for them |
| Muhammad Asad NOW AS FOR those who take aught beside Him for their protectors - God watches them, and thou art not responsible for their conduct |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali And the ones who have taken to themselves patrons apart from Him, Allah is Ever-Preserver over them; and in no way are you a constant trustee over them |
| Muhammad Sarwar God is the guardian of even those who have chosen others (idols) besides Him as their guardians (Muhammad), you will not have to answer for them |
