﴿إِن يَسۡـَٔلۡكُمُوهَا فَيُحۡفِكُمۡ تَبۡخَلُواْ وَيُخۡرِجۡ أَضۡغَٰنَكُمۡ ﴾
[مُحمد: 37]
﴿إن يسألكموها فيحفكم تبخلوا ويخرج أضغانكم﴾ [مُحمد: 37]
Mohammad Habib Shakir If He should ask you for it and urge you, you will be niggardly, and He will bring forth your malice |
Mohammad Shafi Were He to ask and press for it [your material possessions], you would show your miserliness, and so Allah would bring your crookedness to light |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall If He should ask it of you and importune you, ye would hoard it, and He would bring to light your (secret) hates |
Mufti Taqi Usmani If He were to ask you of it, and press you (to spend all your wealth), you would show miserliness, and He would expose your disgusts |
