Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Ma‘arij ayat 11 - المَعَارج - Page - Juz 29
﴿يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ ﴾
[المَعَارج: 11]
﴿يبصرونهم يود المجرم لو يفتدي من عذاب يومئذ ببنيه﴾ [المَعَارج: 11]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir (Though) they shall be made to see each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children |
| Mohammad Shafi Although they would be able to see one another. The sinner would like to save himself from the punishment of that Day by offering (even) his children in ransom |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani (though) they will be made to see each other. A guilty person will desire that he may be able to ransom himself from the torment of that day even by his sons |
