﴿قُلۡ هَلۡ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَآ إِلَّآ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡحُسۡنَيَيۡنِۖ وَنَحۡنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمۡ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٖ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوۡ بِأَيۡدِينَاۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوٓاْ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 52]
﴿قل هل تربصون بنا إلا إحدى الحسنيين ونحن نتربص بكم أن يصيبكم﴾ [التوبَة: 52]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Say: Do you await for us but one of two most excellent things? And we await for you that Allah will afflict you with punishment from Himself or by our hands. So wait; we too will wait with you |
Mohammad Shafi Say, "Do you expect anything but either of two good thingsappening to us? And for you we expect punishment from Allah Himself or by our hands. So wait; we too will wait with you |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Say: Can ye await for us aught save one of two good things (death or victory in Allah's way)? while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with a doom from Him or at our hands. Await then! Lo! We are awaiting with you |
