﴿فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّىٰهَا ﴾
[الشَّمس: 14]
﴿فكذبوه فعقروها فدمدم عليهم ربهم بذنبهم فسواها﴾ [الشَّمس: 14]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground) |
| Mohammad Shafi But they rejected him, and crippled her. For this sin of theirs, their Lord let loose His anger upon them, and razed their dwellings to the ground |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani But they rejected him and killed her, so their Lord sent eradicating torment upon them because of their sin, and made it equal for all |
