﴿قَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗاۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّۖ لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنۡ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭ بِهَٰذَآۚ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[يُونس: 68]
﴿قالوا اتخذ الله ولدا سبحانه هو الغني له ما في السموات وما﴾ [يُونس: 68]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They say, “God has taken a son, glory is to him.” No, He is Self-Sufficient. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. No permission do you have for this. Do you say about God what you know not |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They said: God took a child. He is flawless, He has no need, everything in the skies and on the earth belongs to Him. You have no reason for this. Do you say about God what you do not know |
Ali Quli Qarai They say, ‘Allah has taken a son!’ Immaculate is He! He is the All-sufficient. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this [statement]. Do you attribute to Allah what you do not know |
Ali Unal They (the polytheists) assert that God has taken to Himself a child. All-Glorified is He; He is Self-Sufficient (beyond any need of anything). To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. You have no authority, nor evidence, for this (assertion). Are you, then, saying things about God that you do not know (anything about) |
Hamid S Aziz They say, "Allah has taken to Himself a son." Glorified be He! He is Self-sufficient! His is whatever is in the heavens, and whatever is in the earth. You have no warrant for this! Do you say about Allah, that which you know not |
John Medows Rodwell They say, "God hath begotten children." No! by his glory! He is the self-sufficient. All that is in the Heavens and all that is in the Earth is His! Have ye warranty for that assertion? What! speak ye of God that which ye know not |
Literal They said: "God took/received a child (son)." His praise/glory He is the rich, for Him what is in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, at you (is) no proof/evidence with that, are you saying on God what you do not know |
Mir Anees Original They say, “Allah has taken a son,” far it is from His Glory, He is Independent, His is whatever is in the skies and whatever is in the earth, you have no authority with you for this (statement of yours). Do you say about Allah that which you do not know |
