Quran with English translation - Surah Hud ayat 72 - هُود - Page - Juz 12
﴿قَالَتۡ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزٞ وَهَٰذَا بَعۡلِي شَيۡخًاۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٞ ﴾
[هُود: 72]
﴿قالت ياويلتى أألد وأنا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا إن هذا لشيء عجيب﴾ [هُود: 72]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al She said, “Oh my, will I bear a child, being that I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad She said: woe to me, would I give birth while I am an old woman and my husband is an old man, indeed this is a surprising thing |
| Ali Quli Qarai She said, ‘Oh, my! Shall I, an old woman, bear [children], and [while] this husband of mine is an old man?! That is indeed an odd thing!’ |
| Ali Unal She said: "Oh, woe is me! Shall I bear a child, now that I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man? That would be a strange thing indeed |
| Hamid S Aziz Said she, "Alas for me! Shall I bear a son when I am an old woman, and this husband of mine an old man? Verily, this is a strange thing |
| John Medows Rodwell She said, "Ah, woe is me! shall I bear a son when I am old, and when this my husband is an old man? This truly would be a marvellous thing |
| Literal She said: "Oh my calamity/scandal/misfortune , do I give birth and I am old/weak and that (is) my husband old aged , that, that (is) an unusual/strange thing (E) |
| Mir Anees Original She said, “Sorrowful is my state, shall I have a child when I am an old woman and this my husband is an old man? This is certainly a wonderful thing.” |
