Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Jews say, “The Christians have nothing to stand upon. And Christians say, “Jews have nothing to stand upon.” Yet they all read the Book. Their words are like those who know not. But God will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Accountability |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And the Jews said that the Christians are not on anything , and the Christians said that the Jews are not on anything, although they were reading the book. Likewise, those who do not know (the truth) say the same as they say. But God judges between them in what they used to disagree about it, on the resurrection day |
Ali Quli Qarai The Jews say, ‘The Christians stand on nothing,’ and the Christians say, ‘The Jews stand on nothing,’ though they follow the [same] Book. So said those who had no knowledge, [words] similar to what they say. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which they used to differ |
Ali Unal The Jews say the Christians have nothing (from God) to be based on, and the Christians say the Jews have nothing (from God) to be based on; yet they (both) recite the Book. So too those who have no knowledge (from God) say the like of their word. God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they have been disputing |
Hamid S Aziz The Jews say, "The Christians base themselves on naught;" and the Christians say, "The Jews base themselves on naught"; and yet both read the (same) Book. They say the same things as those people say who know not; but Allah shall judge |
John Medows Rodwell Moreover, the Jews say, "The Christians lean on nought:" "On nought lean the Jews," say the Christians: Yet both are readers of the Book. So with like words say they who have no knowledge. But on the resurrection day, God shall judge between them as to that in which they differ |
Literal And the Jews said: "The Christians are not on a thing." And the Christians said: "The Jews are not on a thing." And they read/recite The Book , like that those who do not know said similar (to) their saying so God judges between them (in) the Resurrection Day, in what they were in it differing/disagreeing |
Mir Anees Original And the Jews say, "The Christians are on nothing." And the Christians say, "The Jews are on nothing," and they read the book. Thus, similar to their saying is the saying of those who have no knowledge, therefore Allah will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that in which they differ |
Mir Aneesuddin And the Jews say, "The Christians are on nothing." And the Christians say, "The Jews are on nothing," and they read the book. Thus, similar to their saying is the saying of those who have no knowledge, therefore God will judge between them on the day of resurrection concerning that in which they differ |
