Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 67 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 1
﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ أَن تَذۡبَحُواْ بَقَرَةٗۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوٗاۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 67]
﴿وإذ قال موسى لقومه إن الله يأمركم أن تذبحوا بقرة قالوا أتتخذنا﴾ [البَقَرَة: 67]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And remember Moses said to his people, “God commands that you sacrifice a heifer.” They said, “Are you trying to make a fool of us?” He said, “I seek refuge with God from being ignorant.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And when Moses told his people: God indeed ordered you to sacrifice a cow. They said: are you making fun of us? Moses said: I seek God’s protection from being among the ignorant ones |
| Ali Quli Qarai And when Moses said to his people, ‘Allah commands you to slaughter a cow,’ they said, ‘Are you mocking us?’ He said, ‘I seek Allah’s protection lest I should be one of the ignorant!’ |
| Ali Unal And (remember) when Moses told his people: "God commands you to sacrifice a cow." They responded: "Are you making fun of us?" He replied: "I seek refuge in God lest I should be among the ignorant (by making fun of anybody) |
