Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Qasas ayat 86 - القَصَص - Page - Juz 20
﴿وَمَا كُنتَ تَرۡجُوٓاْ أَن يُلۡقَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرٗا لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[القَصَص: 86]
﴿وما كنت ترجو أن يلقى إليك الكتاب إلا رحمة من ربك فلا﴾ [القَصَص: 86]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And you were not expecting that the Book would be sent to you, except as a mercy from your Lord. Thus do not be a support to the rejecters |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And you did not hope (or expect) that the book be passed on to you except as a mercy from your Master, so do not be a supporter for the disbelievers |
| Ali Quli Qarai You did not expect that the Book would be delivered to you; but it was a mercy from your Lord. So do not be ever an advocate of the faithless |
| Ali Unal You did not expect that this Book would be revealed to you; but it is being revealed to you as a mercy from your Lord, so do not lend any support to the unbelievers |
| Hamid S Aziz You had no hope that the Book (Scripture) would be inspired in you, but it is a mercy from your Lord! Be not, therefore, a helper of those who disbelieve |
| John Medows Rodwell Thou didst never expect that the Book would be given thee. Of thy Lord's mercy only hath it been sent down. Be not thou helpful then to the unbelievers |
| Literal And you were not hoping/expecting that (E) The Book be thrown to you, except mercy from your Lord, so do not be (E) supporting/helping to the disbelievers |
