﴿وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّن نَّزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَحۡيَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَوۡتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 63]
﴿ولئن سألتهم من نـزل من السماء ماء فأحيا به الأرض من بعد﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 63]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And if indeed you ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life with it to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply, “God.” Say, “Praise belongs to God.” But most of them do not understand |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And if you ask them: who sent down rain from the sky and with it brought the land back to life after its death? They shall say: God. Say: all praise belongs to God. But most of them do not understand |
Ali Quli Qarai And if you ask them, ‘Who sends down water from the sky, with which He revives the earth after its death?’ They will surely say, ‘Allah.’ Say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah!’ But most of them do not exercise their reason |
Ali Unal If you ask them, "Who is it that sends down water from the sky, and revives with it the earth after its death?" they will most certainly say, "God." Say (you, also): "All praise and gratitude are for God." But most of them do not use their reason (to know the truth and distinguish it from falsehood) |
Hamid S Aziz And if you should ask them, "Who causes water to come down from the sky and revives therewith the earth after its death?" they will surely say, "Allah!" Say, "And praise be to Allah!" But most of them have no sense |
John Medows Rodwell If thou ask them who sendeth rain from heaven, and by it quickeneth the earth, after it hath been dead, they will certainly answer, "God." SAY: Praise be to God! Yet most of them do not understand |
Literal And if (E) you asked/questioned them: "Who descended from the sky water, so He revived with it the Earth/land from after its death/lifelessness?" They will say (E): "God." Say: "The praise/gratitude (is) to God, but/indeed most of them, they do not reason/understand |
Mir Anees Original And if you ask them, “Who sends down the water from the sky then gives life through it to the earth after its death?” They will definitely say, “Allah.” Say, “Praise is due only for Allah, but the majority of them does not understand.” |
