Quran with English translation - Surah Luqman ayat 33 - لُقمَان - Page - Juz 21
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡاْ يَوۡمٗا لَّا يَجۡزِي وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوۡلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 33]
﴿ياأيها الناس اتقوا ربكم واخشوا يوما لا يجزي والد عن ولده ولا﴾ [لُقمَان: 33]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al O humanity, do your duty to your Lord, and be aware of a day when neither a parent can do anything for their child, nor a child for their parent. Indeed the promise of God is true. So do not let this present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver delude you about God |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad People, be cautious of your Master and fear a day when no father repays for his child and no child can repay anything for his father. Indeed God’s promise is true, so do not be deceived by this world’s life, and do not be deceived by the deceiver (Satan) about God |
| Ali Quli Qarai O mankind! Be wary of your Lord and fear the day when a father will not atone for his child, nor the child will atone for its father in any wise. Indeed Allah’s promise is true. So do not let the life of the world deceive you, nor let the Deceiver deceive you concerning Allah |
| Ali Unal O humankind! Keep from disobedience to your Lord in reverence for Him to deserve His protection, and fear a Day when no parent will be able to avail his child, nor a child avail his parent, in anything. God’s promise (of the Last Judgment) is certainly true. So do not let the present, worldly life delude you, nor let any deluder (including especially Satan) delude you (in your conceptions) about God |

| John Medows Rodwell O men! fear ye your Lord, and dread the day whereon father shall not atone for son, neither shall a son in the least atone for his father. Aye! the promise of God is a truth. Let not this present life then deceive you; neither let the deceiver deceive you concerning God |
| Literal You, you the people, fear and obey your Lord, and fear a day/time a father does not reimburse/substitute from his child/children, and nor a child/new born, he is substituting/replacing from his father a thing, that truly God`s promise (is) true/truth , so let not the life the present/worldly live deceive/tempt you, and nor the deceit/temptation deceive/tempt you with God |
| Mir Anees Original O mankind! be careful of your Fosterer and fear the day when a father will not be able to pay for the penalty on behalf of his son, and the son will not be able to pay for anything by way of penalty on behalf of his father. Allah’s promise is certainly true, so do not let the life of this world deceive you nor let the deceiver deceive you about Allah |
