Quran with English translation - Surah As-Sajdah ayat 14 - السَّجدة - Page - Juz 21
﴿فَذُوقُواْ بِمَا نَسِيتُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَٰكُمۡۖ وَذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[السَّجدة: 14]
﴿فذوقوا بما نسيتم لقاء يومكم هذا إنا نسيناكم وذوقوا عذاب الخلد بما﴾ [السَّجدة: 14]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al “So taste this, because you forgot the meeting of this day of yours, indeed We will forget you. Taste the eternal penalty for your harmful deeds.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So taste (the punishment) because you forgot the meeting of this day of yours, (therefore) We forgot you, and taste the eternal punishment for what you were doing |
Ali Quli Qarai So taste [the punishment] for your having forgotten the encounter of this day of yours. We [too] have forgotten you. Taste the everlasting punishment because of what you used to do |
Ali Unal So, (you who willingly chose and followed the way of unbelief in the world despite Our warnings,) taste the punishment because you acted in oblivious heedlessness of (the appointment I gave you for) this Day. We are (now) oblivious and heedless of you. Taste the abiding punishment for what you used to do |
Hamid S Aziz So taste (the evil of your deeds), because you neglected the meeting of this day of yours; surely We forsake you; and taste the abiding chastisement for what you used to do |
John Medows Rodwell Taste then the recompense of your having forgotten the meeting with this your day. We, too, we have forgotten you: taste then an eternal punishment for that which ye have wrought |
Literal So taste/experience with what you forgot, this your day`s/time`s meetings that We, We forgot you, and taste/experience the immortality`s/eternity`s torture because (of) what you were making/doing |
Mir Anees Original So taste (the punishment), because you forgot the meeting of this day of yours We (too) will forget you. And taste the everlasting punishment because of that which you used to do |
