Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ahzab ayat 15 - الأحزَاب - Page - Juz 21
﴿وَلَقَدۡ كَانُواْ عَٰهَدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبۡلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ ٱلۡأَدۡبَٰرَۚ وَكَانَ عَهۡدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسۡـُٔولٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 15]
﴿ولقد كانوا عاهدوا الله من قبل لا يولون الأدبار وكان عهد الله﴾ [الأحزَاب: 15]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Even though they had already took a covenant with God not to turn their backs and a covenant with God must be answered for |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they had certainly promised God in the past that they would not turn their backs (and run away). And promise to God is questioned (and is a responsibility) |
| Ali Quli Qarai though they had already pledged to Allah before that they would not turn their backs [to flee], and pledges given to Allah are accountable |
| Ali Unal Yet before that they had (in swearing allegiance to God’s Messenger) made a covenant with God, that they would never turn their backs (in the face of the enemy). Covenants with God will certainly be accounted for |
