Quran with English translation - Surah An-Nisa’ ayat 140 - النِّسَاء - Page - Juz 5
﴿وَقَدۡ نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَنۡ إِذَا سَمِعۡتُمۡ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يُكۡفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسۡتَهۡزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقۡعُدُواْ مَعَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُواْ فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيۡرِهِۦٓ إِنَّكُمۡ إِذٗا مِّثۡلُهُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ جَامِعُ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيعًا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 140]
﴿وقد نـزل عليكم في الكتاب أن إذا سمعتم آيات الله يكفر بها﴾ [النِّسَاء: 140]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al He has already revealed to you in the Book, that when you hear the signs of God held in defiance and ridicule, you are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme. If you did, you would be like them, for God will gather the hypocrites and those who reject it, all in hell |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And He has sent down to you in the book that when you hear God’s signs are denied or ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they enter into a conversation other than it. You are like them if you do not. God is collector of all the hypocrites and the disbelievers in hell |
| Ali Quli Qarai Certainly He has sent down to you in the Book that when you hear Allah’s signs being disbelieved and derided, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse, or else you [too] will be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and the faithless in hell all together |

| Literal And (He) had descended on you in The Book, that if you heard God`s verses/signs/evidences being disbelieved with it, and being mocked with it, so do not sit/remain with them until they plunge into in an information/speech other than it, that you are then similar/equal to them , that God (is) gathering/collecting the hypocrites and the disbelievers in Hell all together |
| Mir Anees Original And He has sent down (instructions) for you through the book, that when you hear the signs of Allah being rejected and mocked at, then do not sit with them till they get involved in some issue other than that, otherwise you (too) will become like them.
