Quran with English translation - Surah Ghafir ayat 47 - غَافِر - Page - Juz 24
﴿وَإِذۡ يَتَحَآجُّونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ فَيَقُولُ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمۡ تَبَعٗا فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّغۡنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبٗا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ ﴾
[غَافِر: 47]
﴿وإذ يتحاجون في النار فيقول الضعفاء للذين استكبروا إنا كنا لكم تبعا﴾ [غَافِر: 47]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Behold, they will dispute with each other in the fire. The weak ones will say to those who had been arrogant, “We were only following you. Can you then take from us some part of the fire |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And when they argue in the fire, then the weak say to those who were arrogant: we were your followers, so would you turn away a portion of the fire from us |
Ali Quli Qarai When they argue in the Fire, the oppressed will say to the oppressors, ‘We used to follow you; will you avail us against any portion of the Fire?’ |
Ali Unal See, how they will dispute with each other in the Fire; so the weak ones (who blindly obeyed the leaders of unbelief) will say to those who acted arrogantly and oppressed (others): "Surely we were your followers; now can you therefore rid us of (even) a portion of the Fire |
Hamid S Aziz And when they shall contend one with another in the Fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud, "Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire |

Literal And when they argue/quarrel in the fire , so the weak say to those who became arrogant: "That we, we were for you following, so are you enriching/sufficing from us a share from the fire |
