Quran with English translation - Surah Fussilat ayat 5 - فُصِّلَت - Page - Juz 24
﴿وَقَالُواْ قُلُوبُنَا فِيٓ أَكِنَّةٖ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَآ إِلَيۡهِ وَفِيٓ ءَاذَانِنَا وَقۡرٞ وَمِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا وَبَيۡنِكَ حِجَابٞ فَٱعۡمَلۡ إِنَّنَا عَٰمِلُونَ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 5]
﴿وقالوا قلوبنا في أكنة مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر ومن بيننا﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 5]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They say, “Our hearts are under veils, concealed from that which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen. So do what you will, and for us, we will do what we will.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they said: our hearts are in covers from what you call us to it, and in our ears is deafness, and there is a barrier between us and between you, so do (what you want), and indeed we are doers (as we please) |
| Ali Quli Qarai They say, ‘Our hearts are in veils [which shut them off] from what you invite us to, and there is a deafness in our ears, and there is a curtain between us and you. So act [as your faith requires]; we too are acting [according to our own].’ |

| Literal And they said: "Our hearts/minds (are) in covers/protections from what you call us to it, and in our ears (is a) weight/deafness , and from between us and between you (is) a divider/partition , so make/do , that we truly are making/doing |
