﴿۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ لِتَجۡرِيَ ٱلۡفُلۡكُ فِيهِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَلِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ ﴾
[الجاثِية: 12]
﴿الله الذي سخر لكم البحر لتجري الفلك فيه بأمره ولتبتغوا من فضله﴾ [الجاثِية: 12]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al It is God Who has subjected the sea to you, that ships may sail through it by His command, that you may seek of his bounty, and that you may be grateful |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad God is the One who brought the sea under your control (and at your service) so that the ships sail for you in it by His command, and so that you look for His bounty and you may be thankful |
Ali Quli Qarai It is Allah who disposed the sea for you[r benefit] so that the ships may sail in it by His command, that you may seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks |
Ali Unal God it is Who has made the sea to be of service to you by making it subservient (to His command) so that the ships may run through it by His command, and that you may seek of His bounty, and that (in return) you may give thanks |
Hamid S Aziz It is Allah Who has made subservient to you the sea that the ships may run therein by His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and that you may give thanks |
John Medows Rodwell It is God who hath subjected the sea to you that the ships may traverse it at his bidding, and that ye may go in quest of the gifts of his bounty, and that ye may be thankful |
Literal God (is) who manipulated/subjugated for you the sea/ocean for the ship/ships (to) flow/run in it with His order/command, and (for) you to wish/desire from His grace/favour , and maybe/perhaps you thank/be grateful |
