Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ma’idah ayat 68 - المَائدة - Page - Juz 6
﴿قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَسۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغۡيَٰنٗا وَكُفۡرٗاۖ فَلَا تَأۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 68]
﴿قل ياأهل الكتاب لستم على شيء حتى تقيموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنـزل﴾ [المَائدة: 68]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Say, “O people of the Book, you have no grounds to stand upon unless you stand fast by the Law, the gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.” It is the revelation that comes to you from your Lord which increases in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blaspheme. But do not worry about the people without faith |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Say: people of the book, you are on nothing until you uphold the Torah and the Gospel and what was sent down to you from your Master. And what was sent down to you (Muhammad) from your Master shall increase rebellion and disbelief of many of them, so do not feel sorry for the disbelieving people |
| Ali Quli Qarai Say, ‘O People of the Book! You do not stand on anything until you observe the Torah and the Evangel and what was sent down to you from your Lord.’ Surely many of them will be increased in rebellion and unfaith by what has been sent down to you from your Lord. So do not grieve for the faithless lot |
| Ali Unal Say: "O People of the Book! You do not stand on anything valid (in God’s sight) unless you truly observe the Torah and the Gospel, and all that has been sent down to you from your Lord, (and doing that you would believe in me and the Qur’an, and follow my way)." However, what is sent down to you from your Lord surely increases many of them in rebellion and unbelief. But grieve not for the disbelieving people |

| John Medows Rodwell SAY: O people of the Book! ye have no ground to stand on, until ye observe the Law and the Evangel, and that which hath been sent down to you from your Lord. The Book which hath been sent down to thee from thy Lord will certainly increase the rebellion and unbelief of many of them; but, be not thou troubled for the unbelievers |
| Literal Say: "You The Book`s people, you are not on a thing, until you keep up the Torah/Old Testament and the Bible/New Testament , and what was descended to you from your (P) Lord." And what was descended to you (S/M) from your Lord increases (E) many of them tyranny/arrogance, and disbelief, so do not grieve/sadden on the nation, the disbelieving |
| Mir Anees Original Say, "O owners of the book ! you are on nothing till you establish the Torah and the Injeel and that which is sent down to you from your Fosterer." And that which is sent down to you from your Fosterer will definitely increase rebellion and infidelity in many of them, therefore, do not grieve over a people who are infidels |
