Quran with English translation - Surah Al-hadid ayat 14 - الحدِيد - Page - Juz 27
﴿يُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ﴾
[الحدِيد: 14]
﴿ينادونهم ألم نكن معكم قالوا بلى ولكنكم فتنتم أنفسكم وتربصتم وارتبتم وغرتكم﴾ [الحدِيد: 14]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Those without will call out, “Were we not with you?” The others will reply, “True, but you led yourselves into temptation, you looked forward but you doubted, and your desires deceived you, until there issued the command of God, and the Deceiver deceived you in respect to God |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They (the disbelievers) call on them (the believers): were we not with you? they say: yes, but you tempted yourselves and you waited and you doubted, and wishful thinking deceived you until God’s command came and the deceiver (Satan) deceived you about God |
| Ali Quli Qarai They will call out to them, ‘Did we not use to be with you?’ They will say, ‘Yes! But you cast yourselves into perdition. You awaited and were skeptical, and [false] hopes deceived you until the edict of Allah came, and the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah |
| Ali Unal They (the hypocrites) will call out to the believers: "Were we not with you (in the world)?" They will reply: "True! But you (willfully) put yourselves in the way of temptation, and hesitated and doubted (waiting on events to choose which side to be on and not assuming yourselves to stand by the truth of Islam), and false expectations (that God’s Religion would one day be defeated) deluded you, until God’s decree (of death) came to you; and the deluder (Satan) deluded you (with wrong conceptions) about God |

| Literal They call them: "Where we not being with you?" They said: "Yes/certainly and but you, you tested/misguided yourselves, and you waited/remained , and you became doubtful/suspicious, and the wishes/desires have deceived/tempted you until God`s order/command came, and the deceit/temptation deceived/tempted you with God |
| Mir Anees Original The (hypocrites) will call out to the (believers), “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Why not! but you yourselves fell into temptation and you hesitated and doubted and your desires deceived you till the command of Allah came, and the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.” |
