Quran with English translation - Surah Al-hadid ayat 29 - الحدِيد - Page - Juz 27
﴿لِّئَلَّا يَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴾
[الحدِيد: 29]
﴿لئلا يعلم أهل الكتاب ألا يقدرون على شيء من فضل الله وأن﴾ [الحدِيد: 29]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So the people of the Book may know that they have no power at all over the grace of God, that His grace is in His hand, to bestow on whomever He wills, for God is the Lord of grace abounding. 29 (End of Part) |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So that people of the book know that they do not have a bit of power over God’s grace, and that the grace is in God’s hand, giving it to anyone He wants. God has enormous grace |
Ali Quli Qarai so that the People of the Book may know that they do not control Allah grace in any wise and that in Allah’s hand is all grace, which He grants to whomever He wishes and Allah is dispenser of a mighty grace |
Ali Unal (This is told you so) that the people of the Book should know that they cannot determine or restrict anything of God’s grace, (and neither they nor Muslim believers will be able to attain anything of it unless they believe in Muhammad together with all the previous Prophets), and that all grace is in God’s Hand, He grants it to whom He wills. Literal For that The Book`s people not know that they not be capable/able on a thing from God`s grace/favour , and that (E) the grace/favour (is) with God`s hand, He gives/brings it (to) whom He wills/wants/intends, and God (is owner) of the grace/favour/blessing, the great. (Jews and Christians all claim to be God`s favourite, this verse states that God`s mercy and blessing is to whomever He intends, and not exclusively to Jews or Christians) |
