Quran with English translation - Surah Al-hashr ayat 14 - الحَشر - Page - Juz 28
﴿لَا يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمۡ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِي قُرٗى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوۡ مِن وَرَآءِ جُدُرِۭۚ بَأۡسُهُم بَيۡنَهُمۡ شَدِيدٞۚ تَحۡسَبُهُمۡ جَمِيعٗا وَقُلُوبُهُمۡ شَتَّىٰۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يَعۡقِلُونَ ﴾
[الحَشر: 14]
﴿لا يقاتلونكم جميعا إلا في قرى محصنة أو من وراء جدر بأسهم﴾ [الحَشر: 14]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They will not even fight you together, except in a fortified town, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting among themselves. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people devoid of wisdom |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They do not fight you altogether unless in well protected towns or from behind walls. Their hostility among them is severe. You think they are all together (and united) while their hearts are divided. That is because they are a group who do not understand |

Severe is their belligerent discord among themselves (except when not opportunistically allied in warfare against you). You think of them as one body, but in fact their hearts are at odds with one another: This is because they are a people who do not reason (and come to an understanding of the situations they face) |
