Quran with English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 78 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
﴿فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَآ أَكۡبَرُۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتۡ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 78]
﴿فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال﴾ [الأنعَام: 78]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al When he saw the Sun rising in splendor he said, “This is my Lord, this is the greatest of all.” But when the Sun set he said, “O my people, I am indeed free from your giving partners to God |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And when he saw the sun rising, he said: this is my Master, this is greater. But when it disappeared he said: my people, I am free of what you associate (with Him) |
Ali Quli Qarai Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord! This is bigger!’ But when it set, he said, ‘O my people, indeed I disown what you take as [His] partners.’ |
Ali Unal Then, when he beheld the sun rising in all its splendor, he said: "This is my Lord, (is it)?. This one is the greatest of all!" But when it set, he said: "O my people! Surely I am free from your association of partners with God and from whatever you associate with Him as partners |

Literal So when he saw the sun rising/emerging, he said: "That (is) my lord, that (is) bigger." So when it set, he said: "You (my) nation, that I am innocent/renouncing from what you share/make partners (with God) |
Mir Anees Original Then when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my Fosterer, this is the greatest (of all I could see)," then when it set, he said, "O my people ! I am free from that which you associate as partners (with Allah) |
