﴿قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ ﴾
[المُلك: 9]
﴿قالوا بلى قد جاءنا نذير فكذبنا وقلنا ما نـزل الله من شيء﴾ [المُلك: 9]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They will say, “Yes, indeed a warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, ‘God never sent down anything. You are no doubt in great error.’ ” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They say: yes, a warner has come to us, but we denied and we said: God did not send down anything, you are only in a great error |
| Ali Quli Qarai They will say, ‘Yes, a warner did come to us, but we impugned [him] and said, ‘Allah did not send down anything; you are only in great error.’ |
| Ali Unal They will say: "Yes, indeed, a warner came to us but we denied (him) and said (to him): "God has never sent down anything, you are only in a great error |
| Hamid S Aziz They shall say, "Yea! Indeed there came to us a Warner, but we rejected him and said, ´Allah has not revealed anything, you are only suffering from delusions.´ |
| John Medows Rodwell They shall say, Yes! there came to us one charged with warnings; but we treated him as a liar, and said, "Nothing hath God sent down: ye are in nothing but a vast delusion |
| Literal They said: "Yes/certainly, a warner/giver of notice had come to us, so we lied/denied/falsified, and we said: `God did not descend from a thing, that truly you are except in big/great misguidance |
| Mir Anees Original They will say, “Why not! a warner had indeed come to us, but we denied and we said: Allah has not sent down anything, you are in nothing but great error.” |
