Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Mulk ayat 10 - المُلك - Page - Juz 29
﴿وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ﴾
[المُلك: 10]
﴿وقالوا لو كنا نسمع أو نعقل ما كنا في أصحاب السعير﴾ [المُلك: 10]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They will further say, “Had we only listened, or used our intelligence, we would not be among the companions of the blazing fire.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And they (also) say: if we had listened or had understood, we would not be among inhabitants of the burning fire |
| Ali Quli Qarai And they will say, ‘Had we listened or applied reason, we would not have been among inmates of the Blaze.’ |
| Ali Unal They will say: "If only we had listened (to him) or reasoned (and distinguished what was to our benefit from what was to our harm, and acted accordingly), we would not (now) be among the companions of the Blaze |
| Hamid S Aziz And they shall say, "Had we but listened or pondered (used our reason or intelligence), we should not have been among the inmates of the Blazing Fire |
| John Medows Rodwell And they shall say, "Had we but hearkened or understood, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames |
| Literal And they said: "If we were hearing/listening or reasoning/comprehending we would not have been in (between) the blazing`s/inflamed`s (inferno`s) owners/company/friends |
| Mir Anees Original And they will say, “Had we but listened or understood, we would not have been among the inhabitants of blazing fire.” |
| Mir Aneesuddin And they will say, “Had we but listened or understood, we would not have been among the inhabitants of blazing fire.” |
