﴿قَالَتۡ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزٞ وَهَٰذَا بَعۡلِي شَيۡخًاۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٞ ﴾
[هُود: 72]
﴿قالت ياويلتى أألد وأنا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا إن هذا لشيء عجيب﴾ [هُود: 72]
| Shabbir Ahmed She exclaimed, "Oh, woe is me! Shall I bear a child, now that I am an old woman and this husband of mine is an old man? This is really strange |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed She said: "Alas for me! Shall I bear a child seeing that I am an old woman, and my husband here is (also) an old man? Verily! That would indeed be a strange thing |
| Talal A Itani New Translation She said, 'Alas for me. Shall I give birth, when I am an old woman, and this, my husband, is an old man? This is truly a strange thing |
