﴿إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٖۗ قَالَ إِنِّيٓ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوٓاْ أَنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[هُود: 54]
﴿إن نقول إلا اعتراك بعض آلهتنا بسوء قال إني أشهد الله واشهدوا﴾ [هُود: 54]
Abdel Haleem All we can say is that one of our gods may have inflicted some harm on you.’ He said, ‘I call God to witness, and you too are my witnesses, that I disown those you set up as partners with God |
Abdul Hye We don’t say but (perhaps) some of our gods - (false deities) has seized you with evil.” He said: “Surely I call Allah to witness and bear you witness that I am free from that which you ascribe as partners (in worship) |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with imbecility." He said: "I call Allah to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing, to Him |
