﴿أَفَأَمِنُوٓاْ أَن تَأۡتِيَهُمۡ غَٰشِيَةٞ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةٗ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 107]
﴿أفأمنوا أن تأتيهم غاشية من عذاب الله أو تأتيهم الساعة بغتة وهم﴾ [يُوسُف: 107]
| Abdel Haleem Are they so sure that an overwhelming punishment from God will not fall on them, or that the Last Hour will not come upon them suddenly when they least expect it |
| Abdul Hye Do they feel secure that Allah’s punishment will not come against them, or that the Hour (of Judgment) will not come against them all of a sudden while they don’t perceive |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Do they then feel secure from the coming against them of the covering veil of the wrath of Allah,- or of the coming against them of the (final) Hour all of a sudden while they perceive not |
