﴿لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ لَهُۥ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفۡتَدَوۡاْ بِهِۦٓۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 18]
﴿للذين استجابوا لربهم الحسنى والذين لم يستجيبوا له لو أن لهم ما﴾ [الرَّعد: 18]
| Abdel Haleem There will be the best of rewards for those who respond to their Lord; those who do not respond would willingly give away the earth’s contents twice over, if they had it, in order to ransom themselves, so terrible will be their reckoning. Hell will be their home, and their bed wretched |
| Abdul Hye (The reward) for those who answer their Lord’s call is Paradise. But those who don’t answer His Call, if that they had all that is in the earth together with its like, they would offer to save themselves (from the punishment). They are those for whom there will be the terrible reckoning. Their residing place will be hell; and worst indeed is that place for rest |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali For those who respond to their Lord, are (all) good things. But those who respond not to Him,- Even if they had all that is in the heavens and on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom. For them will the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell,- what a bed of misery |
