﴿مُهۡطِعِينَ مُقۡنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمۡ لَا يَرۡتَدُّ إِلَيۡهِمۡ طَرۡفُهُمۡۖ وَأَفۡـِٔدَتُهُمۡ هَوَآءٞ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 43]
﴿مهطعين مقنعي رءوسهم لا يرتد إليهم طرفهم وأفئدتهم هواء﴾ [إبراهِيم: 43]
Abdel Haleem They will rush forward, craning their necks, unable to divert their eyes, a gaping void in their hearts |
Abdul Hye (they will be) rushing forward with necks outstretched, their heads will be raised up (towards the sky), their gaze will not return towards them, and their hearts will be empty (because of fear) |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali They running forward with necks outstretched, their heads uplifted, their gaze returning not towards them, and their hearts a (gaping) void |
