﴿وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَسۡتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُخۡرِجُوكَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَإِذٗا لَّا يَلۡبَثُونَ خِلَٰفَكَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 76]
﴿وإن كادوا ليستفزونك من الأرض ليخرجوك منها وإذا لا يلبثون خلافك إلا﴾ [الإسرَاء: 76]
| Abdel Haleem They planned to scare you off the land, but they would not have lasted for more than a little while after you |
| Abdul Hye And surely, they were about to frighten you so that they might drive you out from the land. But then they would not have stayed after you, except a little while |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Their purpose was to scare thee off the land, in order to expel thee; but in that case they would not have stayed (therein) after thee, except for a little while |
