﴿۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ أَضَاعُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَلۡقَوۡنَ غَيًّا ﴾
[مَريَم: 59]
﴿فخلف من بعدهم خلف أضاعوا الصلاة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف يلقون غيا﴾ [مَريَم: 59]
| Abdel Haleem but there came after them generations who neglected prayer and were driven by their own desires. These will come face to face with their evil |
| Abdul Hye But the generations who succeeded them gave up the prayer and followed their lusts. So they will soon meet transgression |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Then there succeeded to them a posterity who neglected the prayers and followed lusts; so presently they shall meet with perdition |
| Ahmed Ali But they are succeeded by a generation who neglect their devotional obligations and follow only earthly pleasures; but they will reach the wrong road and meet destruction |
| Aisha Bewley An evil generation succeeded them who neglected the salat and followed their appetites. They will plunge into the Valley of Evil — |
