﴿رِجَالٞ لَّا تُلۡهِيهِمۡ تِجَٰرَةٞ وَلَا بَيۡعٌ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ يَخَافُونَ يَوۡمٗا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلۡقُلُوبُ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ ﴾
[النور: 37]
﴿رجال لا تلهيهم تجارة ولا بيع عن ذكر الله وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء﴾ [النور: 37]
Abdel Haleem men who are not distracted, either by commerce or profit, from remembering God, keeping up the prayer, and paying the prescribed alms, fearing a day when hearts and eyes will turn over |
Abdul Hye by such people whom neither trade nor sale diverts them from the remembrance of Allah, nor from establishing the prayer, nor from giving the obligatory charity. They fear the Day when the hearts and the eyes will be overturned |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new) |
