﴿وَيَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعۡنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَآ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[النور: 47]
﴿ويقولون آمنا بالله وبالرسول وأطعنا ثم يتولى فريق منهم من بعد ذلك﴾ [النور: 47]
| Abdel Haleem They say, ‘We believe in God and the Messenger; we obey,’ but then some of them turn away: these people are not true believers |
| Abdul Hye They (hypocrites) say: “We believe in Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad) and we obey,” then some of them turn away thereafter, and those are not believers |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They say, "We believe in Allah and in the messenger, and we obey": but even after that, some of them turn away: they are not (really) Believers |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And they say: we have believed in Allah and in the apostle and we have obeyed; then there backslide a party of them thereafter: and these are not believers |
