﴿وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ فَإِذَآ أُوذِيَ فِي ٱللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتۡنَةَ ٱلنَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَئِن جَآءَ نَصۡرٞ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمۡۚ أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعۡلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 10]
﴿ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله فإذا أوذي في الله جعل فتنة﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 10]
| Abdel Haleem There are some people who say, ‘We believe in God,’ but, when they suffer for His cause, they think that human persecution is as severe as God’s punishment––yet, if any help comes to you [Prophet] from your Lord, they will say, ‘We have always been with you’. Does God not know best what is in everyone’s hearts |
| Abdul Hye Some people are those who say: “We believe in Allah,” but if they are made to suffer in the cause of Allah, they confuse the trial of people as the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say: “Surely! We were with you.” Is not Allah fully aware of what is in the hearts (of the people) of the worlds |
